Division By Zero Error

What is Division ?

A way of dividing a bunch of things into equal portions is division. It is one of the four basic arithmetic operations that produces a fair sharing result.

How do computers handle divide operation?

As an example, if computer wants to divide 20 by 5 (20/5), it simply subtract the given number until it meets zero.

This is how computer handle the division operation. Similarly, if a computer performs multiplication, it also performs as an addition.

According to mathematical theory, any number divided by zero is infinite. As an example if we say 1 divide by zero is infinite and according to the same way we can say 2 divide by zero is infinite. if you apply the same logic here infinite into 0 should be 1 and infinity to 0 should be 2 also which is not possible in the real world. As a result, a computer does not consider any number divided by zero to be infinite.

Why?

When we try to reach a zero, the result will be going to a very large value. Also If we try to reach zero with the negative value, the result will be going to a very small value.

According to above results, we consider any number divide by zero to be undefinable or undefined.
