WhatsApp Brings Screen Sharing to Android Phones

Imagine this: You are on a WhatsApp video call with a dear friend or a family member and you want to show them something that’s sitting daintily in one of the folders or apps in your phone. Now, you take that particular document or image and share it with your family/friend via WhatsApp, wait for them to look at it, and then react. Don’t forget to add in the forever struggle our parents have when they have to switch between apps during a video call. It is so frustrating!

I have faced it all and always wondered how easy it’d be if WhatsApp functioned like Google Meets or Zoom calls as far as screen sharing is concerned. It seems like the tech Gods have finally taken pity on us! WhatsApp screen sharing on Android phones is coming in hot and fast y’all!

WhatsApp recently introduced a new feature that allows Android phone users to share their screens during video calls. While it’s still in the testing phase with the Android beta users, this could be a real game changer once it’s out for everyone to use.

With this new capability, WhatsApp could be aiming to provide a more comprehensive and interactive communication platform for its users, facilitating seamless sharing and collaboration directly within the app.

WhatsApp screen sharing on Android phones could harbor collaborative possibilities which could allow users to use the feature to provide real-time demonstrations, tutorials, or troubleshooting assistance to friends, family, or colleagues.

Since the beginning of this year, we have heard about some fantastic features that the app has been rolling out to make things smoother for its users. Whether it be the message editing feature (soon you will be able to edit a message on the app within 15 minutes of sending it. The updated message will feature with a caveat “edited” next to the time stamp).

Overall, these additions to WhatsApp continue to bring more convenience, collaboration, and versatility to the app without compromising one’s privacy.
