Work on yourself amidst the Depressing Coronavirus lockdown

As we step into week 2 of nation-wide lockdown in India. Most of us might have already realized that it’s going to be a long battle. There is no point in spending this time worrying. Let’s rather start working on some things which you can learn.

Either you can choose to silently sit and wait for this to pass. Or you can make the most of this time. Remember this was one of the top excuses from doing anything, “I don’t have time”. Well now we have time. Start working out, Learn meditation or develop a new skill. (How about Algo/DS).

Here are three things which I have started

Being physically inactive will only add up to your anxiety. Try working out for 1 week and I am sure you’ll realize the difference.

Here are some interesting ways you can do it.

A. Join a cult fit live workout

You can join a workout session/ Yoga/ Dance. They have live classes running the entire day. It’ll be guided by an instructor. Also you get energy level score & rank to measure how well you did.

This is one of the best ways to keep yourself mentally stable for unprecedented times like this. If there is only one thing you want to learn during the lockdown, It should be meditation. Becoming self aware and learning to watch what you are thinking will be a luxury in the coming times. You need mental and emotional wellbeing during these tough times.

High time you learn meditation if you haven’t tried already.

A. Start solving 1–2 problems per day on leetcode. Leetcode is starting a month-long challenge from 1st April.

B. Build something from scratch, which you have thought I’ll do it when I get time.

There are a lot of things you can work on during this time. Your mental health is as important as surviving this pandemic. Stay healthy.
